Now built off of a different platform, the 2023 Honda HR-V is larger in every sense, including with the cabin dimensions that become a bit more comfortable for passengers and convenient for cargo storage. The full redesign carries over under the hood, with the four-cylinder engine earning more power, while the 2023 Honda HR-V receives the brand's latest take on smart and easy to use infotainment technology.
Performance and Technology
While the 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the 2023 Honda HR-V is the same size found with previous editions, this engine is now a bit more powerful, earning 158 horsepower with 138 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard and is probably fine for travelers who stick around the city streets and highways of the Baltimore area, while you can easily find a version with all-wheel drive for better traction and control when taking off through rough weather or off paved surfaces.
